FIELDS:

There will be two fields, each about 1/3 the size of a regular soccer field.

GOALS:

The "Small Goals" will measure 6' X 12'

TIMING:

REGULAR TOURNAMENT PLAY
30 minutes + 2 minute halftime, 3 minutes between games
Game clock is running at start time
Teams will forfeit (-3 goal differential) if they fail to arrive within 5 minutes of start time
 
PLAY-OFFS
30 minutes + 2 minute halftime
If championship match is tied at the end of regulation time, teams will proceed to a penalty shootout (best of 3, 1 female minimum)

PLAYERS & SCORING:

  • 7 players on the field, including 2 females at all times
  • Goalies are included
  • Corner kicks will be played
  • Throw-ins will be played
  • Offsides will be called
  • Slide tackles of any kind will result in a yellow card and automatic substitution (re-entry is referee's discretion)
  • Substitutions may happen on the fly, so long as they do not disrupt the play and the team gains no "extra man advantage" during the switch (referee's discretion)

TEAMS & POINTS:

  • 3 points for a win, 2 points for a tie, 1 point for a loss
  • Positivity Points! After each game, teams will rate their opponents on their sportsmanship (2 = outstanding sportsmanship, 1 = acceptable sportsmanship, 0 = poor sportsmanship)
  • Each team's record & positivity points will be totaled at the end of regular tournament play to identify top teams
  • In the case of a tie after record & positivity points are calculated, goal-differential will be used to break the tie
  • Top 2 teams will advance to championship match
  • Winners of championship match will receive tournament prizes

PLAYING FOR CHANGE

SWB participants serve as referees during the tournament, and SWB staff run and play in the tournament. 
This is a great opportunity to have fun and do good, and to learn more about SWB programs and the SWB community!
